Sidney Celia Ross

Sidney Celia Ross, Direttore Generale, was born and educated in New York City. She graduated from The Spence School and received a BA degree in languages from Barnard College, Columbia University. She also holds PR and Marketing credentials (MCIM), acquired in the UK.

After working for RAI Radiotelevisione Italiana in New York and Rome, she moved to London where she spent over 20 years in banking with Italian International Bank, the UK subsidiary of Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena, focusing on private banking and banking relations.  In 2000 she joined Withers LLP as a consultant in charge of their Italian marketing.  For more than fourteen years, Sidney was the organiser of the Annual Conference of the Italian Chamber of Commerce, a major event for the Italian business community in London.  In addition, she assists various Italian companies and individuals in their dealings with matters of relevance to Italy or the UK.

In 1987 she was honoured by the Italian Government as a Cavaliere al Ordine di Merito for her enthusiam and work in promoting Italy.

Sidney has been closely involved with Business Club Italia since it was first created in 1995, first as Segretario Generale and Tesoriere and lately as Direttore Generale. 

In addition, she is Vice Delegata of the London Delegation of Accademia Italiana della Cucina and co-Vice Chair of the British Italian Society as well as a member of Il Circolo and Club di Londra.  Her City connections include being a Freeman of the City and member of the Worshipful Company of International Bankers (where she sits on the Events Committee and the Communications Committee).
